The Eppendorf M1353-0000 Excella E25/E25R floor model digital incubated and, depending on the model, refrigerated orbital shaker uses 120V at speeds between 50 to 400rpm, continuous or timed shaking, an orbital motion range of 1", a three-digit LED, and a tightly-sealed growth chamber with a large window. The temperature range for the refrigerated model is between 15°C below ambient to 60°C and for the non-refrigerated model is between 7°C above ambient to 60°C. This shaker has continuous or timed shaking between 0.1 to 99.9 hours with audible and visible alarms for ease of operation. The orbital motion provides uniform mixing with a smooth, continuous, circular action. The three-digit LED indicates shaker status, speed, temperature, setpoints, and time remaining. Laboratory shakers are used in many analytic procedures, including drug analysis, water pollution analysis, and hemolysis. The growth chamber accommodates test tubes or up to four, 6L Erlenmeyer flasks with use of a universal or dedicated 30 x 18 inches (W x D) platform (sold separately). (W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) The chamber has a large window for easy viewing of samples without compromising environmental conditions. A safety switch automatically stops the shaker mechanism when the lid is lifted. Visual and audible alarms alert to the end of a timed run, deviations of shaking speed more than 5 rpm, deviations of more than 1°C from temperature setpoint, power failure, or when the lid is open. Setpoints and operating status are retained in memory during power interruption, and the shaker automatically restarts after power is restored. The shaker is powered by a single eccentric counterbalanced drive. The shaker comes with a power cord, fuse, hex wrench, and key. This shaker conforms to the Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and European Conformity (CE) marking standards.Laboratory shakers agitate liquids during laboratory procedures. These devices can be analog or digital and are typically an automated, electrically powered, countertop unit that shakes liquid in lab containers, such as flasks, funnels, or test tubes. Some shakers can operate inside fume hoods, incubators, refrigerators, or other laboratory devices, and can include controls for the frequency and/or degree of movement. The types of shakers include: orbital, rocking, rolling, rotating, and wrist action. The most common orbital shaker provides a smooth, continuous, circular motion, sometimes with a tilt angle, for uniform mixing of contents. The rocking shaker creates gentle uniform mixing with a see-saw, or up and down, motion. Reciprocating, or rolling, shakers provide a horizontal side-to-side motion with simple agitation of samples. A rotating, or rotisserie, shaker provides samples with a rotating action that moves in a circular motion. Wrist-action shakers duplicate the effect of hand mixing with "arms" on each side of the unit. Some shakers have the ability to incubate or refrigerate samples while providing shaking action.Eppendorf manufactures instruments for cell manipulation and automated devices for liquid handling, for use in life science research laboratories. The company, found in 1945, is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.

  • Floor model digital incubated and, depending on the model, refrigerated orbital shaker uses 120V at speeds between 50 to 400rpm for uniform mixing with a smooth continuous circular motion
  • Continuous or timed shaking between 0.1 to 99.9 hours with audible and visible alarms for ease of operation
  • Orbital motion range of 2.5cm/1" to ensure even mixing and a large window for easy viewing of samples
  • Three-digit LED indicates shaker status, speed, temperature, setpoints, and time remaining for clear readings
  • Accommodates test tubes or up to 4 x 6L flasks in a tightly-sealed growth chamber
